This study presents an objective, video-based method for assessing ADHD-like behavior in dogs using machine learning. The researchers trained a classifier to distinguish between dogs with ADHD-like behaviors and healthy controls with an 81% accuracy. In a clinical evaluation, the method showed a reduction in ADHD-related symptoms in 8 out of 11 treated dogs. Expert feedback on the tool's utility in clinical settings highlights its potential for aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD-like behaviors in canines.
